Huff Huff Pass

Gas Huffing, as with any mining activity, is fucking boring. But when I found that c320 Vital Core Reservoir site could bag $50mil plus in a $7mil fit venture with a full hold on the open market might be worth my time. A few months later and it is my primary source of income across all three of my accounts.

I have moved up to Gas Harvesting V, Expedition Frigates, and Covert Ops (which, compared to mining are very easy skill-trains) and currently fly a trio of huffers, bringing my ISK/h up to around $160mil/h with Fullerite c320. In my daily chain-mapping I dig deep in search of quiet or uninhabited C5 and C6 connections. A dedicated cov-ops scanning ship makes quick work of signatures. Ideal gas sites (Instrumental and Vital) are pinpointed, bookmarked, the hole is thoroughly scouted, and potential threats are watch-listed.

On one very lucky occasion I found a group of five sleeper-free Vital sites in a quiet C5 and went to town on them undisturbed for nearly five hours (while binging on Always Sunny and pita chips). The total loot at the end of the day came to around $1.2bil (that's $240mil/h!).

Getting started "ninja-harvesting" only requires basic knowledge of w-space mechanics and a few hours of training skills to get a pilot started out on the right foot. The Venture mining frigate by ORE is a novice huffer's best friend. A simple $7.5mil fit Venture can draw upwards of $15mil ISK out of each c320 site in twenty minutes - a full ore hold clocking an impressive $55mil. Having several of these fits available for corpmates when high class gas sites are spotted can bring in hundreds of millions of ISK to corp and members each week.

TL:DR

This was a busy week! A first-time personal encounter with corporate fuckery and paranoid CEOs! The drama that surrounds the event is entertaining in retrospect and resulted in getting myself kicked from corp, banned from Teamspeak, blacklisted on W-space channels, and all of my assets stolen. Basically my CEO was given intel I was a "Hard Knocks Spy", and he decided it best to dive head-first into that belief.

When it came down to it after all the drama I was given a choice to take 500mil and leave or be blacklisted and killed on sight.

Some things happen for a reason. I chose not to take the money. I saw an opportunity to invest energy in scouting and intel-gathering on a specific target! I have the means and the motive. Luck would have it this particular group of individuals have been under wardec for two weeks, giving me a place to start - possible patrons interested in my very specific intelligence.

I have two unaffiliated scouting toons in the hole and Haruko can come and go in her bomber as she wants. I now have a target, incentive, and of course motive to pursue the play-style that started this blog and which gives form to the new corp! A few days after being wrongfully burned at the stake I got the chance to pay them back a little, with the help of some friends from WiNGSPAN Delivery Services:
